Training and development

A training and development policy is a set of guidelines reflecting your commitment to developing your staff. It enables you to audit your training activities to ensure you are getting value for
money/time invested.

A worthwhile investment

Our Training and Development policy enables both your line managers and employees to understand the approach you take to investing in your workforce, recognising that a balance must be struck between business needs and helping employees develop to their full potential. Whilst training opportunities should be made available to all employees, you should make decisions on who is to receive training and development in an open, fair, consistent and non-discriminatory manner. A clear policy on training also helps you to check that what you are providing, whether it be external or internal training, is actually working in terms of the benefit derived to both the employee and the business.
