Hazards and risks

The briefing identifies the hazards and risks including physical injury through chemical splashes, dusty and extremely hot environments. It also refers to damage that a wearer can do if they either rub their eye or struggle to remove the contact lens.

 

Management

Control measures include communicating to staff what your policy is on the wearing of contact lenses and highlighting if there are areas where you prohibit their use. If there is any incident involving an eye medical assistance should be sought immediately to prevent further damage.
